A hooker is a small two-masted ship used as an auxiliary ship for costal navigation and for messenger services. At the end of the 18th century in the Russian civil fleet they served for transportation of goods in the Ladoga lake and White Sea. With a displacement of nearly 350 tons, she was armed with guns placed on the upper deck (up to 12) and her crew was numbered up to 90 people.
The KRONSHLOT was founded in the Solombala shipyard in Arhangelsk on June 12, 1736 and launced on May 5, 1737.
